Sandy Community Website was founded in 1999, in order to provide local news and information about Sandy in Bedfordshire. Today, more than 16 years later, there have been significant changes in terms of how information is now being accessed through mobile platforms, social networking and Tweets from Twitter. Therefore, we have revamped the website with ‘responsiveness’ in mind.
Time sensitive and topical information updates regarding local news and information can now be found on our page on Facebook. The static parts, such as the local history timeline remains as originally published back in the early 2000s and will still be relevant to visitors.
Although comments and posts about issues happening in and around Sandy in Bedfordshire can be found on Facebook, our sister site, Sandy Beds Blog also provides a platform for comment and discussion about local topics and we will continue to keep this up to date.
